About Jody WatsonI have been a pracitcing counsellor for almost 20 years. I have worked with children, youth and adults and in a variety of settings including afencies, group homes and in private practice. I graduated with a Master of Counselling from the University of Calgary in 2004 and as an Art Therapist from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute that same year. I am a professional member of the the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. My experience includes mental health and addictions, couples counselling, and working with trauma and anxiety. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, groups, adults, adolescents and children and also have experience facilitating educational groups and teaching in a college setting. I am still amazed by the therapeutic process and by how much the people I have worked with have enriched my life. I consider it an honor to work with people and be a witness as they find hope, comfort and joy in their lives. My counselling practice is completely online using a secure video platform allowing people to stay in the comfrot of their own homes for sessions. I have found that moving my practice online has allowed clients that were previously not able to make it to sessions (due to childcare issues, living remotely, taking the time off work to travel to and from sessions) a chance to get the support they need. If you have any questions about online counsellig, please do not hesitate to contact me. Education and Training
